The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video review for 2025

In our review of this course, we try to help you answer all of your most important questions about The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video as quickly and efficiently as possible, so that you can determine whether this online education training is worth your time and money.

Feel free to jump to whatever question you want answered the most.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

Why use TPRSSALV as an abbreviation of the course name?

During our The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video course review, you might sometimes see us refer to it as TPRSSALV for the following 2 reasons:

  1. We created the acronym by taking the first letter of every word (which was very ingenious and innovative, we know)
  2. We’re lazy and TPRSSALV is simpler and easier for reviewing purposes

The full course name is 58 characters long, including blanks, while TPRSSALV is 8 characters long.

You do the math.

Okay, we’ll do the math. We’re saving 50 characters every time we use TPRSSALV.

So, just a heads up that we’ll be using this abbreviation sometimes, so you’re not left scratching your head and wondering what the heck we’re talking about whenever we refer to TPRSSALV throughout the remainder of this review.

Is the The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video course for you?

To determine whether Zach Miller’s Udemy course is a good fit for you or not, ask yourself the following questions down below.

The more you answer “yes” to each question, the more likely it is that you’ll like this course.

Can you understand what Zach Miller’s course is about in 30 seconds or less?

Hopefully, you can easily grasp in 10 seconds or less what this online course is about simply by taking a look at the title that Zach Miller chose for the course, “The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video”, as well as its subtitle: “Achieve Studio Quality Speech and Video Recordings at Home. Improve Your Video Audio or Voice Recording With A Budget.”.

This combo of title and subtitle should be enough to communicate the purpose of the training if Zach Miller is a good, clear communicator (which, of course, you want in a teacher).

In our opinion, if you still don’t know what TPRSSALV is about after looking at these two things, then this is a red flag, and you might be better off not taking this class.

Among other things, it means Zach Miller hasn’t clearly and accurately conveyed what the course is about and might not be the best teacher for you.

For similar reasons, it’s important that you’re able to clearly understand what The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video is all about from the first few lines of the course description.

So take just a few seconds to read the opening lines down below and see what you think of them.

Opening lines of Zach Miller’s official description of TPRSSALV

If you’ve ever thought about recording yourself or others on video (especially webcam), but just don’t know where to begin OR are looking to perfect the process – THIS IS YOUR COURSE!

Even the most advanced video designers will learn a thing or two about creating a smoother look to their videos. Whether it’s a universally professional background that costs less than $50, the recording equipment that make you sound like the ‘perfect you’, to the software it takes to bring it all together… I cover it all.

This course is meant to be a hand-holding experience, taking you step-by-step through setup of your screen/video recorder OBS, the positioning of your lighting, to the settings of your webcam, allowing you to get crystal-clear video without lagging.

(Read more about this course on the official course page.)

Does TPRSSALV pass the 30 Seconds Test?

You can read a lot more about The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video on the official course page on Udemy, but the point is this: are the title, subtitle, and just the first few lines of the description enough to help you understand what the course is about?

If so, Zach Miller has done a good job and can be considered more trustworthy and a good communicator, which are important qualities for any teacher.

And, if not, maybe you’re better off looking at other Photography classes that are more clearly defined and more tailored to your specific interests.

Did The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video appeal to you in 30 seconds or less?

Now that you’ve done the 30 Second Test with TPRSSALV above, what is your gut reaction to this Photography course with only the basic information of its title, subtitle, and the first few opening lines of its official course summary?

Did Zach Miller do a good job conveying its subject matter, and did it immediately get your attention and appeal to you?

If so, Zach Miller’s online course is certainly worth considering some more.

But if not, perhaps it’s in your best interest to consider some other Photography courses instead, because clear communication and being able to hook and maintain your interest are two very important qualities for your online learning success.

Does Zach Miller sound like a course instructor you’d like to learn from?

You’ve already learned how to use The 30 Second Test to make a quick evaluation of whether the TPRSSALV course is worth taking.

We have a similar 15 Second Bio Test where you read only the first few lines of an instructor’s background — in this case, Zach Miller’s background — and then you make a quick, snap judgment as to whether you think the instructor would be ideal for you.

There is no right or wrong answer. It’s just about going with your gut instinct. What might appeal to one potential student might alienate another, and vice versa.

(FYI, all Udemy instructors, including Zach Miller, have a Udemy profile on their course page, so you can easily check for a bio and background on the Udemy website that way. We’re only including the first few lines of the bio down below for The 15 Second Bio Test).

(Learn more about this instructor on the official course page.)

What did you think about Zach Miller after reading just the first few lines of the bio above?

After reading just the first few lines about Zach Miller, did it make you more or less interested in taking the TPRSSALV course?

And did it make you feel like Zach Miller was more or less credible and qualified to teach The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video?

Finally, overall, did you feel like you’d receive the proper training from the instructor of this Photography course?

As always, we encourage you to listen to your gut instinct, which is different for every student.

Are the TPRSSALV lessons clear, specific, and organized well?

Part of the (good) problem with Udemy’s online courses, such as the The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video course, is that the instructors are constantly updating them, including adding and renaming lessons.

So it makes no sense whatsoever for us to list out all the modules and lessons in the TPRSSALV course here, because you can just as easily go to the Udemy course page and get all the up to date course structure as of right now.

We do, however, have some tips about reviewing Zach Miller’s course structure, so that you can get a better sense of whether this program is worth your time or not.

In a nutshell, you want to scan the the titles of the different sections and lessons of the course, and verify that they are clearly relevant to the course’s name, The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video, as well as the course’s subtitle, Achieve Studio Quality Speech and Video Recordings at Home. Improve Your Video Audio or Voice Recording With A Budget..

If the section names and lessons are clear, specific, and relevant, then it’s a good sign that TPRSSALV is potentially a good, useful course for you, and you can have more confidence in Zach Miller’s teaching abilities and lesson planning.

On the other hand, if the module names are confusing, vague, or irrelevant, then this is a red flag, which might indicate that the program is worth skipping.

Have you taken some free lessons from Zach Miller that you enjoyed?

Have you already learned something from Zach Miller that you valued or enjoyed?

For example, does the The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video training have some free lessons that you can try? (Almost all Udemy instructors will give you at least one or two lessons for free to help you make a better, more informed decision before enrolling in their course.)

But if you weren’t able to get any TPRSSALV lessons for free, have you perhaps watched a YouTube video by Zach Miller, or perhaps come across this instructor’s thoughts on Quora, Facebook, LinkedIn, Github, Reddit, or some other platform?

Or have you perhaps even taken one of Zach Miller’s free courses or free webinars? (Many online teachers offer these freebies, which is a great way to get to know them and evaluate their teaching methods before buying one of their courses.)

In any case, the more familiar you are with Zach Miller’s teaching methods, and the more you enjoy them, the more likely it is that The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video will be a good fit for you.

(P.S.: We strongly encourage you to seek out some free instruction from Zach Miller before purchasing this course, since it’s one of the best ways to determine whether TPRSSALV will be helpful for you.)

Are “The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video” reviews generally positive?

On the bottom of the TPRSSALV page, you can read student reviews of the class.

Prior to October 05, 2025, there were 175 students enrolled, 67 reviews / ratings, and it was overall rated 4.3 out of 5.

Obviously, the more highly other students rate TPRSSALV the better, but no matter what, keep an open mind when reading the reviews, since you might still like a course a great deal that other students dislike.

After all, everyone’s got their own opinion.

We recommend that you spend only a couple minutes scanning the TPRSSALV reviews to get an overall sense of them. You don’t have to read each one!

Is Zach Miller responsive to student questions in the TPRSSALV training?

You can see what other students have to say about this in their TPRSSALV reviews.

But, our simple all time favorite way of gauging an instructor’s responsiveness is to simply email the instructor and see if or how they respond.

In this case, Udemy has a messaging system for students / anyone who has an account, and you can send Zach Miller a message through this system quite easily, even if you haven’t bought TPRSSALV yet.

For example, you could say, “Hi, and I came across TPRSSALV while looking at Photography courses on Udemy. If I enroll in your training, would you mind if I asked you any questions along the way?”

If you use this approach, the response (or lack of response) from the professor will tell you everything.

Obviously, the quicker the response the better!

Are you comfortable going through the lessons in The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video on your own, online?

This is a big one, because The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video is an online course as opposed to a course that you physically take in a classroom.

Of course, you will need a good internet connection to have access to the course material and lessons, but beyond that, you also have to be comfortable being self motivated to some degree, being on your own, and not having any physical interaction with any of the other students taking The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video.

Yes, you will be able to interact with the students and the teacher, Zach Miller, online, but it’s a different kind of experience than what you’d get if you were interacting with them in person.

This is not a big deal to most people, but it might be something for you to consider if you feel like you do better taking classes in person rather than learning online.

Do the pros / benefits of TPRSSALV make it worth your time?

Ideally, if you’ve gone through the evaluation steps above, you have a list of positive things about the The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video training that looks something like this:

  • The purpose of TPRSSALV can be clearly grasped and understood, and its lesson structure is clear, specific, and well organized
  • Zach Miller is well qualified to teach this subject matter, has good teaching abilities, and is responsive to student questions
  • Other TPRSSALV students have great things to say about the program

Other benefits include:

  • You get to go through TPRSSALV at your own pace
  • You join a community of 175 other students taking the course
  • You get lifetime access to the training
  • All updates to the training are free
  • You have a 30 day money back guarantee

Even if there are some things that you don’t like about the program, so what?

The question is simply this: do you think that TPRSSALV would be worth your time, even if there are some things that could be better about it?

Can you comfortably afford TPRSSALV?

Can you comfortably afford the cost of The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video?

This is an important question to answer, because even if you think TPRSSALV sounds like the greatest online class in the world, it’s still not worth taking if you can’t comfortably afford it!

Before October 05, 2025, the price was $12.99 before any Udemy discount, and you were able to pay with a credit card.

Keep in mind that this is a Udemy online course, and there’s a great chance that you can get a solid discount on TPRSSALV with Udemy coupons / promo codes, especially with the strategies we provide for helping you find the best, most popular coupons available.

We’ll cover that in greater detail in the next section, because at the end of the day, its important that you can learn whatever you want to learn without getting into a lot of credit card debt.

How can you maximize your discount on The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video?

By far, the easiest way to get the best and biggest discount on this course is to use the The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video discount code link at the top of this page.

It will instantly give you the best coupon code we could find for Zach Miller’s online training.

We don’t believe there’s a bigger discount than the one we provided, but if for some reason you’d like to try find one, you can use the methods below to hunt for the best TPRSSALV course coupons and promo codes you can find.

FYI, the methods below will help you not just with getting TPRSSALV for a better price, but also with any other Zach Miller Udemy course that you’d like to get for cheaper.

How can Google help you get a TPRSSALV discount?

To use this method, do a Google search for the TPRSSALV training, but in your search query, be sure to add words like coupon code, promo code, deal, sale, discount, and Udemy.

For example, you might do a search for “Udemy The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video promo code” or “The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video udemy coupon codes” and see what turns up.

Similarly, you can use the same combination of search terms with Zach Miller’s name and see what happens.

For example, you might do a Google search for “Zach Miller Udemy coupons” or “Zach Miller course coupon codes” and see if that helps you.

However, in general, it’s far more powerful to do a search for deals and coupon codes with the actual training’s name, than with the instructor’s name.

So in this case, for example, prioritize searches for “The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video coupons” rather than “Zach Miller coupons”.

How can a Udemy sale get you TPRSSALV for cheaper?

Every once in while, Udemy will do a sitewide sale where they offer all (or almost all) their courses at a discounted price. For example, one of the best sales is where every course is only $10 or $9.99.

So, if you’re interested in saving as much money as possible, you could wait and see if you can get TPRSSALV for this cheaper Udemy sale price one day.

The problem is that these sales only occur sporadically, so you might be waiting for a while. Also, if Zach Miller decides not to participate in the site wide sale, then you won’t get a discount on TPRSSALV, even though you could get a great discount on almost any other class at Udemy!

To understand this, think of there as being two different coupon categories for the TPRSSALV course. Category one is an official Udemy coupon (which instructors can opt out of), while category two is a coupon offered directly by the instructor.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what kind of a coupon tag you’re dealing with (for example, “officially from Udemy” or “officially from the instructor”), as long as long as as you’re dealing with active coupons that get you a better price.

How can you get a TPRSSALV discount from Zach Miller?

If you’re really serious about getting “The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video” for the cheapest price possible, then perhaps one of the most powerful things you can do is get a coupon code straight from Zach Miller, instead of waiting for a Udemy sale.

To do this, you can use either the direct approach or an indirect approach to try to get your discount.

With the direct approach, the big idea is to simply get Zach Miller’s contact info in some way or another (whether it’s email, or Twitter, or whatever else).

Then you send a message saying something like “I’m interested in enrolling in The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video. Do you happen to currently have an active coupon code for it that I could use?” (And then, hopefully, you’ll get a reply with your discount code.)

On the other hand, with the indirect approach, you join Zach Miller’s mailing list, if you can find it, and then you hope that at some time TPRSSALV will be promoted to you at a discount.

By far, the more powerful approach is the direct approach, because it tends to get results faster. But you can experiment with the indirect approach and see if it works for you.

Can you get TPRSSALV for free?

Of course, the best possible price for the TPRSSALV training is free! As in, you pay no money whatsoever.

And guess what? Sometimes Udemy instructors provide coupon codes that enable students to take their courses for free. So, perhaps it’s possible that Zach Miller has done this.

Basically, if you’re trying to get this program for free, you will want to search for the course’s name along with other words like free coupon, or 100 off coupon.

For example, you might do a google search for “The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video free coupon” or “The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video 100 off coupon” and see what happens.

But keep this in mind: often, Udemy teachers will offer a free coupon for their course when it first opens to get some publicity and reviews. And then, after a few days, they’ll make the coupon expired.

So even Zach Miller has offered free coupons for TPRSSALV in the past, the odds are likely they will all be currently expired. This is a common pattern that we have found.

What about a TPRSSALV free download?

It’s important to understand that there’s a difference between getting full access to the TPRSSALV training for free legally with a free coupon code vs. finding a way to download TPRSSALV illegally.

If you really want to go the download route, you can do a google search for something like “The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video download”.

And if that doesn’t get you the results you want, you can add the word “free” to your search.

For example, perhaps you could do a google search for “The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video free download”.

However, even if you get some results from these searches, we do not recommend that you take this course of action.

First of all, there are some shady sites out there that could be trying to infect your computer.

Second, Zach Miller created this course and deserves monetary compensation for it.

And third, if you go the free download route, you’ll be missing out on a lot of value, because you won’t be able to ask the instructor questions or interact with the other 175 students enrolled in the program.

Can you get a refund on The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video if you don’t like it?

Let’s say that you used our tips above, and you were able to buy the TPRSSALV training at a fantastic discounted price. So at this point, you’re super excited.

Then, you actually dive into Zach Miller’s course, and you discover that it just isn’t for you for whatever reason.

And now you’re super bummed, because you feel like it wasn’t money well spent.

Well, guess what?

Udemy offers a rock solid 30 day money back guarantee on all their courses, so you can get a refund on TPRSSALV no matter what. And this means there is absolutely no risk.

Indeed, even if you left a super negative, critical review on the TPRSSALV training, and then asked for your money back, you’d get a refund. For better or worse, there’s nothing Zach Miller could do about it, since it is simply Udemy policy.

To sum it up: yes, you can get a full refund, so at the end of the day, don’t worry about the possibility of purchasing TPRSSALV and not liking it, since you can always get your money back.

What is OCP’s overall rating of The Perfect Recording Studio Setup: Audio, Lighting, Video?

During this TPRSSALV review, you’ve learned about some of the unusual ways we like to evaluate courses, such as with The 30 Second Test and The 15 Second Bio Test.

So our overall review process is perhaps a little unusual and different from other reviews out there. Keep this in mind when you consider the overall rating / score that we have given this course.

Anyway, after taking a look at the TPRSSALV training, the instructor, Zach Miller, and reading what other students have said about this program, we give it an overall rating of 4.8 out of 5.

Ultimately, though, what matters most is what you would rate it based on the same criteria.

We do, however, have some tips about reviewing Gary Detonnancourt’s course structure, so that you can get a better sense of whether this program is worth your time or not.

In a nutshell, you want to scan the the titles of the different sections and lessons of the course, and verify that they are clearly relevant to the course’s name, Learn to “Create More Than A Snapshot” Photography Class, as well as the course’s subtitle, Learn to control your camera to create the images you you’ve always dreamed of making..

If the section names and lessons are clear, specific, and relevant, then it’s a good sign that LT”MTASPC is potentially a good, useful course for you, and you can have more confidence in Gary Detonnancourt’s teaching abilities and lesson planning.

On the other hand, if the module names are confusing, vague, or irrelevant, then this is a red flag, which might indicate that the program is worth skipping.

Have you taken some free lessons from Gary Detonnancourt that you enjoyed?

Have you already learned something from Gary Detonnancourt that you valued or enjoyed?

For example, does the Learn to “Create More Than A Snapshot” Photography Class training have some free lessons that you can try? (Almost all Udemy instructors will give you at least one or two lessons for free to help you make a better, more informed decision before enrolling in their course.)

But if you weren’t able to get any LT”MTASPC lessons for free, have you perhaps watched a YouTube video by Gary Detonnancourt, or perhaps come across this instructor’s thoughts on Quora, Facebook, LinkedIn, Github, Reddit, or some other platform?

Or have you perhaps even taken one of Gary Detonnancourt’s free courses or free webinars? (Many online teachers offer these freebies, which is a great way to get to know them and evaluate their teaching methods before buying one of their courses.)

In any case, the more familiar you are with Gary Detonnancourt’s teaching methods, and the more you enjoy them, the more likely it is that Learn to “Create More Than A Snapshot” Photography Class will be a good fit for you.

(P.S.: We strongly encourage you to seek out some free instruction from Gary Detonnancourt before purchasing this course, since it’s one of the best ways to determine whether LT”MTASPC will be helpful for you.)

Are “Learn to “Create More Than A Snapshot” Photography Class” reviews generally positive?

On the bottom of the LT”MTASPC page, you can read student reviews of the class.

Prior to October 05, 2025, there were 53 students enrolled, 26 reviews / ratings, and it was overall rated 4 out of 5.

Obviously, the more highly other students rate LT”MTASPC the better, but no matter what, keep an open mind when reading the reviews, since you might still like a course a great deal that other students dislike.

After all, everyone’s got their own opinion.

We recommend that you spend only a couple minutes scanning the LT”MTASPC reviews to get an overall sense of them. You don’t have to read each one!

Is Gary Detonnancourt responsive to student questions in the LT”MTASPC training?

You can see what other students have to say about this in their LT”MTASPC reviews.

But, our simple all time favorite way of gauging an instructor’s responsiveness is to simply email the instructor and see if or how they respond.

In this case, Udemy has a messaging system for students / anyone who has an account, and you can send Gary Detonnancourt a message through this system quite easily, even if you haven’t bought LT”MTASPC yet.

For example, you could say, “Hi, and I came across LT”MTASPC while looking at Photography courses on Udemy. If I enroll in your training, would you mind if I asked you any questions along the way?”

If you use this approach, the response (or lack of response) from the professor will tell you everything.

Obviously, the quicker the response the better!

Are you comfortable going through the lessons in Learn to “Create More Than A Snapshot” Photography Class on your own, online?

This is a big one, because Learn to “Create More Than A Snapshot” Photography Class is an online course as opposed to a course that you physically take in a classroom.

Of course, you will need a good internet connection to have access to the course material and lessons, but beyond that, you also have to be comfortable being self motivated to some degree, being on your own, and not having any physical interaction with any of the other students taking Learn to “Create More Than A Snapshot” Photography Class.

Yes, you will be able to interact with the students and the teacher, Gary Detonnancourt, online, but it’s a different kind of experience than what you’d get if you were interacting with them in person.

This is not a big deal to most people, but it might be something for you to consider if you feel like you do better taking classes in person rather than learning online.

Do the pros / benefits of LT”MTASPC make it worth your time?

Ideally, if you’ve gone through the evaluation steps above, you have a list of positive things about the Learn to “Create More Than A Snapshot” Photography Class training that looks something like this:

  • The purpose of LT”MTASPC can be clearly grasped and understood, and its lesson structure is clear, specific, and well organized
  • Gary Detonnancourt is well qualified to teach this subject matter, has good teaching abilities, and is responsive to student questions
  • Other LT”MTASPC students have great things to say about the program

Other benefits include:

  • You get to go through LT”MTASPC at your own pace
  • You join a community of 53 other students taking the course
  • You get lifetime access to the training
  • All updates to the training are free
  • You have a 30 day money back guarantee

Even if there are some things that you don’t like about the program, so what?

The question is simply this: do you think that LT”MTASPC would be worth your time, even if there are some things that could be better about it?

Can you comfortably afford LT”MTASPC?

Can you comfortably afford the cost of Learn to “Create More Than A Snapshot” Photography Class?

This is an important question to answer, because even if you think LT”MTASPC sounds like the greatest online class in the world, it’s still not worth taking if you can’t comfortably afford it!

Before October 05, 2025, the price was $12.99 before any Udemy discount, and you were able to pay with a credit card.

Keep in mind that this is a Udemy online course, and there’s a great chance that you can get a solid discount on LT”MTASPC with Udemy coupons / promo codes, especially with the strategies we provide for helping you find the best, most popular coupons available.

We’ll cover that in greater detail in the next section, because at the end of the day, its important that you can learn whatever you want to learn without getting into a lot of credit card debt.

How can you maximize your discount on Learn to “Create More Than A Snapshot” Photography Class?

By far, the easiest way to get the best and biggest discount on this course is to use the Learn to “Create More Than A Snapshot” Photography Class discount code link at the top of this page.

It will instantly give you the best coupon code we could find for Gary Detonnancourt’s online training.

We don’t believe there’s a bigger discount than the one we provided, but if for some reason you’d like to try find one, you can use the methods below to hunt for the best LT”MTASPC course coupons and promo codes you can find.

FYI, the methods below will help you not just with getting LT”MTASPC for a better price, but also with any other Gary Detonnancourt Udemy course that you’d like to get for cheaper.

How can Google help you get a LT”MTASPC discount?

To use this method, do a Google search for the LT”MTASPC training, but in your search query, be sure to add words like coupon code, promo code, deal, sale, discount, and Udemy.

For example, you might do a search for “Udemy Learn to “Create More Than A Snapshot” Photography Class promo code” or “Learn to “Create More Than A Snapshot” Photography Class udemy coupon codes” and see what turns up.

Similarly, you can use the same combination of search terms with Gary Detonnancourt’s name and see what happens.

For example, you might do a Google search for “Gary Detonnancourt Udemy coupons” or “Gary Detonnancourt course coupon codes” and see if that helps you.

However, in general, it’s far more powerful to do a search for deals and coupon codes with the actual training’s name, than with the instructor’s name.

So in this case, for example, prioritize searches for “Learn to “Create More Than A Snapshot” Photography Class coupons” rather than “Gary Detonnancourt coupons”.

How can a Udemy sale get you LT”MTASPC for cheaper?

Every once in while, Udemy will do a sitewide sale where they offer all (or almost all) their courses at a discounted price. For example, one of the best sales is where every course is only $10 or $9.99.

So, if you’re interested in saving as much money as possible, you could wait and see if you can get LT”MTASPC for this cheaper Udemy sale price one day.

The problem is that these sales only occur sporadically, so you might be waiting for a while. Also, if Gary Detonnancourt decides not to participate in the site wide sale, then you won’t get a discount on LT”MTASPC, even though you could get a great discount on almost any other class at Udemy!

To understand this, think of there as being two different coupon categories for the LT”MTASPC course.

How can you get a LT”MTASPC discount from Gary Detonnancourt?

If you’re really serious about getting “Learn to “Create More Than A Snapshot” Photography Class” for the cheapest price possible, then perhaps one of the most powerful things you can do is get a coupon code straight from Gary Detonnancourt, instead of waiting for a Udemy sale.

To do this, you can use either the direct approach or an indirect approach to try to get your discount.

With the direct approach, the big idea is to simply get Gary Detonnancourt’s contact info in some way or another (whether it’s email, or Twitter, or whatever else).

Then you send a message saying something like “I’m interested in enrolling in Learn to “Create More Than A Snapshot” Photography Class. Do you happen to currently have an active coupon code for it that I could use?” (And then, hopefully, you’ll get a reply with your discount code.)

On the other hand, with the indirect approach, you join Gary Detonnancourt’s mailing list, if you can find it, and then you hope that at some time LT”MTASPC will be promoted to you at a discount.

By far, the more powerful approach is the direct approach, because it tends to get results faster. But you can experiment with the indirect approach and see if it works for you.

Can you get LT”MTASPC for free?

Of course, the best possible price for the LT”MTASPC training is free! As in, you pay no money whatsoever.

And guess what? Sometimes Udemy instructors provide coupon codes that enable students to take their courses for free. So, perhaps it’s possible that Gary Detonnancourt has done this.

Basically, if you’re trying to get this program for free, you will want to search for the course’s name along with other words like free coupon, or 100 off coupon.

For example, you might do a google search for “Learn to “Create More Than A Snapshot” Photography Class free coupon” or “Learn to “Create More Than A Snapshot” Photography Class 100 off coupon” and see what happens.

But keep this in mind: often, Udemy teachers will offer a free coupon for their course when it first opens to get some publicity and reviews. And then, after a few days, they’ll make the coupon expired.

So even Gary Detonnancourt has offered free coupons for LT”MTASPC in the past, the odds are likely they will all be currently expired. This is a common pattern that we have found.

What about a LT”MTASPC free download?

It’s important to understand that there’s a difference between getting full access to the LT”MTASPC training for free legally with a free coupon code vs. finding a way to download LT”MTASPC illegally.

If you really want to go the download route, you can do a google search for something like “Learn to “Create More Than A Snapshot” Photography Class download”.

And if that doesn’t get you the results you want, you can add the word “free” to your search.

For example, perhaps you could do a google search for “Learn to “Create More Than A Snapshot” Photography Class free download”.

However, even if you get some results from these searches, we do not recommend that you take this course of action.

First of all, there are some shady sites out there that could be trying to infect your computer.

Second, Gary Detonnancourt created this course and deserves monetary compensation for it.

And third, if you go the free download route, you’ll be missing out on a lot of value, because you won’t be able to ask the instructor questions or interact with the other 53 students enrolled in the program.

Can you get a refund on Learn to “Create More Than A Snapshot” Photography Class if you don’t like it?

Let’s say that you used our tips above, and you were able to buy the LT”MTASPC training at a fantastic discounted price. So at this point, you’re super excited.

Then, you actually dive into Gary Detonnancourt’s course, and you discover that it just isn’t for you for whatever reason.

And now you’re super bummed, because you feel like it wasn’t money well spent.

Well, guess what?

Udemy offers a rock solid 30 day money back guarantee on all their courses, so you can get a refund on LT”MTASPC no matter what. And this means there is absolutely no risk.

Indeed, even if you left a super negative, critical review on the LT”MTASPC training, and then asked for your money back, you’d get a refund. For better or worse, there’s nothing Gary Detonnancourt could do about it, since it is simply Udemy policy.

To sum it up: yes, you can get a full refund, so at the end of the day, don’t worry about the possibility of purchasing LT”MTASPC and not liking it, since you can always get your money back.

What is OCP’s overall rating of Learn to “Create More Than A Snapshot” Photography Class?

During this LT”MTASPC review, you’ve learned about some of the unusual ways we like to evaluate courses, such as with The 30 Second Test and The 15 Second Bio Test.

So our overall review process is perhaps a little unusual and different from other reviews out there. Keep this in mind when you consider the overall rating / score that we have given this course.

Anyway, after taking a look at the LT”MTASPC training, the instructor, Gary Detonnancourt, and reading what other students have said about this program, we give it an overall rating of 4.2 out of 5.

Ultimately, though, what matters most is what you would rate it based on the same criteria.

The Art of Film Photography & Basic Photography Skills review for 2025

In our review of this course, we try to help you answer all of your most important questions about The Art of Film Photography & Basic Photography Skills as quickly and efficiently as possible, so that you can determine whether this online education training is worth your time and money.

Feel free to jump to whatever question you want answered the most.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

Why use TAOFP&BPS as an abbreviation of the course name?

During our The Art of Film Photography & Basic Photography Skills course review, you might sometimes see us refer to it as TAOFP&BPS for the following 2 reasons:

  1. We created the acronym by taking the first letter of every word (which was very ingenious and innovative, we know)
  2. We’re lazy and TAOFP&BPS is simpler and easier for reviewing purposes

The full course name is 54 characters long, including blanks, while TAOFP&BPS is 9 characters long.

You do the math.

Okay, we’ll do the math. We’re saving 45 characters every time we use TAOFP&BPS.

So, just a heads up that we’ll be using this abbreviation sometimes, so you’re not left scratching your head and wondering what the heck we’re talking about whenever we refer to TAOFP&BPS throughout the remainder of this review.

Is the The Art of Film Photography & Basic Photography Skills course for you?

To determine whether Dean Benstead’s Udemy course is a good fit for you or not, ask yourself the following questions down below.

The more you answer “yes” to each question, the more likely it is that you’ll like this course.

Can you understand what Dean Benstead’s course is about in 30 seconds or less?

Hopefully, you can easily grasp in 10 seconds or less what this online course is about simply by taking a look at the title that Dean Benstead chose for the course, “The Art of Film Photography & Basic Photography Skills”, as well as its subtitle: “A Beginners Guide and introduction to the art of traditional photography. Learn the basics alongside traditional skills.”.

This combo of title and subtitle should be enough to communicate the purpose of the training if Dean Benstead is a good, clear communicator (which, of course, you want in a teacher).

In our opinion, if you still don’t know what TAOFP&BPS is about after looking at these two things, then this is a red flag, and you might be better off not taking this class.

Among other things, it means Dean Benstead hasn’t clearly and accurately conveyed what the course is about and might not be the best teacher for you.

For similar reasons, it’s important that you’re able to clearly understand what The Art of Film Photography & Basic Photography Skills is all about from the first few lines of the course description.

So take just a few seconds to read the opening lines down below and see what you think of them.

Opening lines of Dean Benstead’s official description of TAOFP&BPS

Learn a dying art that is Film Photography. Learn the complicated in a simple way within the surroundings of your own home. Bring photography back to life and create timeless photos and steal back what digital has taken from you. Simply…learn how to take photos and make them from the vision of your eye to the print of your wall, and enjoy the process….Be part of the film revival!!!

Learn the very core and basics of Photography covering areas such as:

Learn in an unrestricted way where practice and correcting mistakes takes priority over tedious dictations and perfection. This course will teach you the ‘rules’ and push you towards your personal and unique style of photography.

(Read more about this course on the official course page.)

Does TAOFP&BPS pass the 30 Seconds Test?

You can read a lot more about The Art of Film Photography & Basic Photography Skills on the official course page on Udemy, but the point is this: are the title, subtitle, and just the first few lines of the description enough to help you understand what the course is about?

If so, Dean Benstead has done a good job and can be considered more trustworthy and a good communicator, which are important qualities for any teacher.

And, if not, maybe you’re better off looking at other Photography classes that are more clearly defined and more tailored to your specific interests.

Did The Art of Film Photography & Basic Photography Skills appeal to you in 30 seconds or less?

Now that you’ve done the 30 Second Test with TAOFP&BPS above, what is your gut reaction to this Photography course with only the basic information of its title, subtitle, and the first few opening lines of its official course summary?

Did Dean Benstead do a good job conveying its subject matter, and did it immediately get your attention and appeal to you?

If so, Dean Benstead’s online course is certainly worth considering some more.

But if not, perhaps it’s in your best interest to consider some other Photography courses instead, because clear communication and being able to hook and maintain your interest are two very important qualities for your online learning success.

Does Dean Benstead sound like a course instructor you’d like to learn from?

You’ve already learned how to use The 30 Second Test to make a quick evaluation of whether the TAOFP&BPS course is worth taking.

We have a similar 15 Second Bio Test where you read only the first few lines of an instructor’s background — in this case, Dean Benstead’s background — and then you make a quick, snap judgment as to whether you think the instructor would be ideal for you.

There is no right or wrong answer. It’s just about going with your gut instinct. What might appeal to one potential student might alienate another, and vice versa.

(FYI, all Udemy instructors, including Dean Benstead, have a Udemy profile on their course page, so you can easily check for a bio and background on the Udemy website that way. We’re only including the first few lines of the bio down below for The 15 Second Bio Test).

Opening lines from Dean Benstead’s Udemy bio

My name is Dean Benstead and I have had a long life interest and fascination with photography and taking photos. Having owned many disposable cameras back in the 90’s, to owning my first digital ‘point and shoot’ camera in the noughties, I decided to take a closer, and more detailed look, at how the process works and what foundation this magical skill has which started way back in the mid 19th century.

(Learn more about this instructor on the official course page.)

What did you think about Dean Benstead after reading just the first few lines of the bio above?

After reading just the first few lines about Dean Benstead, did it make you more or less interested in taking the TAOFP&BPS course?

And did it make you feel like Dean Benstead was more or less credible and qualified to teach The Art of Film Photography & Basic Photography Skills?

Finally, overall, did you feel like you’d receive the proper training from the instructor of this Photography course?

As always, we encourage you to listen to your gut instinct, which is different for every student.

To use this method, do a Google search for the TAOFP&BPS training, but in your search query, be sure to add words like coupon code, promo code, deal, sale, discount, and Udemy.

For example, you might do a search for “Udemy The Art of Film Photography & Basic Photography Skills promo code” or “The Art of Film Photography & Basic Photography Skills udemy coupon codes” and see what turns up.

Similarly, you can use the same combination of search terms with Dean Benstead’s name and see what happens.

For example, you might do a Google search for “Dean Benstead Udemy coupons” or “Dean Benstead course coupon codes” and see if that helps you.

However, in general, it’s far more powerful to do a search for deals and coupon codes with the actual training’s name, than with the instructor’s name.

So in this case, for example, prioritize searches for “The Art of Film Photography & Basic Photography Skills coupons” rather than “Dean Benstead coupons”.

How can a Udemy sale get you TAOFP&BPS for cheaper?

Every once in while, Udemy will do a sitewide sale where they offer all (or almost all) their courses at a discounted price. For example, one of the best sales is where every course is only $10 or $9.99.

So, if you’re interested in saving as much money as possible, you could wait and see if you can get TAOFP&BPS for this cheaper Udemy sale price one day.

The problem is that these sales only occur sporadically, so you might be waiting for a while. Also, if Dean Benstead decides not to participate in the site wide sale, then you won’t get a discount on TAOFP&BPS, even though you could get a great discount on almost any other class at Udemy!

To understand this, think of there as being two different coupon categories for the TAOFP&BPS course.

How can you get a TAOFP&BPS discount from Dean Benstead?

If you’re really serious about getting “The Art of Film Photography & Basic Photography Skills” for the cheapest price possible, then perhaps one of the most powerful things you can do is get a coupon code straight from Dean Benstead, instead of waiting for a Udemy sale.

To do this, you can use either the direct approach or an indirect approach to try to get your discount.

With the direct approach, the big idea is to simply get Dean Benstead’s contact info in some way or another (whether it’s email, or Twitter, or whatever else).

Then you send a message saying something like “I’m interested in enrolling in The Art of Film Photography & Basic Photography Skills. Do you happen to currently have an active coupon code for it that I could use?” (And then, hopefully, you’ll get a reply with your discount code.)

On the other hand, with the indirect approach, you join Dean Benstead’s mailing list, if you can find it, and then you hope that at some time TAOFP&BPS will be promoted to you at a discount.

By far, the more powerful approach is the direct approach, because it tends to get results faster. But you can experiment with the indirect approach and see if it works for you.

Can you get TAOFP&BPS for free?

Of course, the best possible price for the TAOFP&BPS training is free! As in, you pay no money whatsoever.

And guess what? Sometimes Udemy instructors provide coupon codes that enable students to take their courses for free. So, perhaps it’s possible that Dean Benstead has done this.

Basically, if you’re trying to get this program for free, you will want to search for the course’s name along with other words like free coupon, or 100 off coupon.

For example, you might do a google search for “The Art of Film Photography & Basic Photography Skills free coupon” or “The Art of Film Photography & Basic Photography Skills 100 off coupon” and see what happens.

But keep this in mind: often, Udemy teachers will offer a free coupon for their course when it first opens to get some publicity and reviews. And then, after a few days, they’ll make the coupon expired.

So even Dean Benstead has offered free coupons for TAOFP&BPS in the past, the odds are likely they will all be currently expired. This is a common pattern that we have found.

What about a TAOFP&BPS free download?

It’s important to understand that there’s a difference between getting full access to the TAOFP&BPS training for free legally with a free coupon code vs. finding a way to download TAOFP&BPS illegally.

If you really want to go the download route, you can do a google search for something like “The Art of Film Photography & Basic Photography Skills download”.

And if that doesn’t get you the results you want, you can add the word “free” to your search.

For example, perhaps you could do a google search for “The Art of Film Photography & Basic Photography Skills free download”.

However, even if you get some results from these searches, we do not recommend that you take this course of action.

First of all, there are some shady sites out there that could be trying to infect your computer.

Second, Dean Benstead created this course and deserves monetary compensation for it.

And third, if you go the free download route, you’ll be missing out on a lot of value, because you won’t be able to ask the instructor questions or interact with the other 52 students enrolled in the program.

Can you get a refund on The Art of Film Photography & Basic Photography Skills if you don’t like it?

Let’s say that you used our tips above, and you were able to buy the TAOFP&BPS training at a fantastic discounted price. So at this point, you’re super excited.

Then, you actually dive into Dean Benstead’s course, and you discover that it just isn’t for you for whatever reason.

And now you’re super bummed, because you feel like it wasn’t money well spent.

Well, guess what?

Udemy offers a rock solid 30 day money back guarantee on all their courses, so you can get a refund on TAOFP&BPS no matter what. And this means there is absolutely no risk.

Indeed, even if you left a super negative, critical review on the TAOFP&BPS training, and then asked for your money back, you’d get a refund. For better or worse, there’s nothing Dean Benstead could do about it, since it is simply Udemy policy.

To sum it up: yes, you can get a full refund, so at the end of the day, don’t worry about the possibility of purchasing TAOFP&BPS and not liking it, since you can always get your money back.

What is OCP’s overall rating of The Art of Film Photography & Basic Photography Skills?

During this TAOFP&BPS review, you’ve learned about some of the unusual ways we like to evaluate courses, such as with The 30 Second Test and The 15 Second Bio Test.

So our overall review process is perhaps a little unusual and different from other reviews out there. Keep this in mind when you consider the overall rating / score that we have given this course.

Anyway, after taking a look at the TAOFP&BPS training, the instructor, Dean Benstead, and reading what other students have said about this program, we give it an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5.

Ultimately, though, what matters most is what you would rate it based on the same criteria.

Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12 review for 2025

In our review of this course, we try to help you answer all of your most important questions about Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12 as quickly and efficiently as possible, so that you can determine whether this online education training is worth your time and money.

Feel free to jump to whatever question you want answered the most.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

Why use TIPE1 as an abbreviation of the course name?

During our Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12 course review, you might sometimes see us refer to it as TIPE1 for the following 2 reasons:

  1. We created the acronym by taking the first letter of every word (which was very ingenious and innovative, we know)
  2. We’re lazy and TIPE1 is simpler and easier for reviewing purposes

The full course name is 33 characters long, including blanks, while TIPE1 is 5 characters long.

You do the math.

Okay, we’ll do the math. We’re saving 28 characters every time we use TIPE1.

So, just a heads up that we’ll be using this abbreviation sometimes, so you’re not left scratching your head and wondering what the heck we’re talking about whenever we refer to TIPE1 throughout the remainder of this review.

Is the Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12 course for you?

To determine whether Sly Hofman’s Udemy course is a good fit for you or not, ask yourself the following questions down below.

The more you answer “yes” to each question, the more likely it is that you’ll like this course.

Can you understand what Sly Hofman’s course is about in 30 seconds or less?

Hopefully, you can easily grasp in 10 seconds or less what this online course is about simply by taking a look at the title that Sly Hofman chose for the course, “Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12”, as well as its subtitle: “Your guide to confidence with your pictures. Start thinking and retouching like a pro!”.

This combo of title and subtitle should be enough to communicate the purpose of the training if Sly Hofman is a good, clear communicator (which, of course, you want in a teacher).

In our opinion, if you still don’t know what TIPE1 is about after looking at these two things, then this is a red flag, and you might be better off not taking this class.

Among other things, it means Sly Hofman hasn’t clearly and accurately conveyed what the course is about and might not be the best teacher for you.

For similar reasons, it’s important that you’re able to clearly understand what Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12 is all about from the first few lines of the course description.

So take just a few seconds to read the opening lines down below and see what you think of them.

Opening lines of Sly Hofman’s official description of TIPE1

Welcome to “Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12” course!

If you don’t know if your pictures look good, or if the problems you see can be corrected, this course is for you.

This course will teach you how to look at your pictures, how to find problems and how to fix them. You will have an insight into the thinking process – the way I look and correct my pictures. You will see, what tools can be used in specific situations, and why.

(Read more about this course on the official course page.)

Does TIPE1 pass the 30 Seconds Test?

You can read a lot more about Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12 on the official course page on Udemy, but the point is this: are the title, subtitle, and just the first few lines of the description enough to help you understand what the course is about?

If so, Sly Hofman has done a good job and can be considered more trustworthy and a good communicator, which are important qualities for any teacher.

And, if not, maybe you’re better off looking at other Photography classes that are more clearly defined and more tailored to your specific interests.

Did Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12 appeal to you in 30 seconds or less?

Now that you’ve done the 30 Second Test with TIPE1 above, what is your gut reaction to this Photography course with only the basic information of its title, subtitle, and the first few opening lines of its official course summary?

Did Sly Hofman do a good job conveying its subject matter, and did it immediately get your attention and appeal to you?

If so, Sly Hofman’s online course is certainly worth considering some more.

But if not, perhaps it’s in your best interest to consider some other Photography courses instead, because clear communication and being able to hook and maintain your interest are two very important qualities for your online learning success.

Does Sly Hofman sound like a course instructor you’d like to learn from?

You’ve already learned how to use The 30 Second Test to make a quick evaluation of whether the TIPE1 course is worth taking.

We have a similar 15 Second Bio Test where you read only the first few lines of an instructor’s background — in this case, Sly Hofman’s background — and then you make a quick, snap judgment as to whether you think the instructor would be ideal for you.

There is no right or wrong answer. It’s just about going with your gut instinct. What might appeal to one potential student might alienate another, and vice versa.

(FYI, all Udemy instructors, including Sly Hofman, have a Udemy profile on their course page, so you can easily check for a bio and background on the Udemy website that way. We’re only including the first few lines of the bio down below for The 15 Second Bio Test).

Opening lines from Sly Hofman’s Udemy bio

I’m a senior web developer and computer graphic enthusiast.

(Learn more about this instructor on the official course page.)

What did you think about Sly Hofman after reading just the first few lines of the bio above?

After reading just the first few lines about Sly Hofman, did it make you more or less interested in taking the TIPE1 course?

And did it make you feel like Sly Hofman was more or less credible and qualified to teach Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12?

Finally, overall, did you feel like you’d receive the proper training from the instructor of this Photography course?

As always, we encourage you to listen to your gut instinct, which is different for every student.

Are the TIPE1 lessons clear, specific, and organized well?

Part of the (good) problem with Udemy’s online courses, such as the Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12 course, is that the instructors are constantly updating them, including adding and renaming lessons.

So it makes no sense whatsoever for us to list out all the modules and lessons in the TIPE1 course here, because you can just as easily go to the Udemy course page and get all the up to date course structure as of right now.

We do, however, have some tips about reviewing Sly Hofman’s course structure, so that you can get a better sense of whether this program is worth your time or not.

In a nutshell, you want to scan the the titles of the different sections and lessons of the course, and verify that they are clearly relevant to the course’s name, Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12, as well as the course’s subtitle, Your guide to confidence with your pictures. Start thinking and retouching like a pro!.

If the section names and lessons are clear, specific, and relevant, then it’s a good sign that TIPE1 is potentially a good, useful course for you, and you can have more confidence in Sly Hofman’s teaching abilities and lesson planning.

On the other hand, if the module names are confusing, vague, or irrelevant, then this is a red flag, which might indicate that the program is worth skipping.

Have you taken some free lessons from Sly Hofman that you enjoyed?

Have you already learned something from Sly Hofman that you valued or enjoyed?

For example, does the Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12 training have some free lessons that you can try? (Almost all Udemy instructors will give you at least one or two lessons for free to help you make a better, more informed decision before enrolling in their course.)

But if you weren’t able to get any TIPE1 lessons for free, have you perhaps watched a YouTube video by Sly Hofman, or perhaps come across this instructor’s thoughts on Quora, Facebook, LinkedIn, Github, Reddit, or some other platform?

Or have you perhaps even taken one of Sly Hofman’s free courses or free webinars? (Many online teachers offer these freebies, which is a great way to get to know them and evaluate their teaching methods before buying one of their courses.)

In any case, the more familiar you are with Sly Hofman’s teaching methods, and the more you enjoy them, the more likely it is that Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12 will be a good fit for you.

(P.S.: We strongly encourage you to seek out some free instruction from Sly Hofman before purchasing this course, since it’s one of the best ways to determine whether TIPE1 will be helpful for you.)

Are “Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12” reviews generally positive?

On the bottom of the TIPE1 page, you can read student reviews of the class.

Prior to October 05, 2025, there were 10 students enrolled, 5 reviews / ratings, and it was overall rated 4.9 out of 5.

Obviously, the more highly other students rate TIPE1 the better, but no matter what, keep an open mind when reading the reviews, since you might still like a course a great deal that other students dislike.

After all, everyone’s got their own opinion.

We recommend that you spend only a couple minutes scanning the TIPE1 reviews to get an overall sense of them. You don’t have to read each one!

Is Sly Hofman responsive to student questions in the TIPE1 training?

You can see what other students have to say about this in their TIPE1 reviews.

But, our simple all time favorite way of gauging an instructor’s responsiveness is to simply email the instructor and see if or how they respond.

In this case, Udemy has a messaging system for students / anyone who has an account, and you can send Sly Hofman a message through this system quite easily, even if you haven’t bought TIPE1 yet.

For example, you could say, “Hi, and I came across TIPE1 while looking at Photography courses on Udemy. If I enroll in your training, would you mind if I asked you any questions along the way?”

If you use this approach, the response (or lack of response) from the professor will tell you everything.

Obviously, the quicker the response the better!

Are you comfortable going through the lessons in Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12 on your own, online?

This is a big one, because Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12 is an online course as opposed to a course that you physically take in a classroom.

Of course, you will need a good internet connection to have access to the course material and lessons, but beyond that, you also have to be comfortable being self motivated to some degree, being on your own, and not having any physical interaction with any of the other students taking Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12.

Yes, you will be able to interact with the students and the teacher, Sly Hofman, online, but it’s a different kind of experience than what you’d get if you were interacting with them in person.

This is not a big deal to most people, but it might be something for you to consider if you feel like you do better taking classes in person rather than learning online.

Do the pros / benefits of TIPE1 make it worth your time?

Ideally, if you’ve gone through the evaluation steps above, you have a list of positive things about the Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12 training that looks something like this:

  • The purpose of TIPE1 can be clearly grasped and understood, and its lesson structure is clear, specific, and well organized
  • Sly Hofman is well qualified to teach this subject matter, has good teaching abilities, and is responsive to student questions
  • Other TIPE1 students have great things to say about the program

Other benefits include:

  • You get to go through TIPE1 at your own pace
  • You join a community of 10 other students taking the course
  • You get lifetime access to the training
  • All updates to the training are free
  • You have a 30 day money back guarantee

Even if there are some things that you don’t like about the program, so what?

The question is simply this: do you think that TIPE1 would be worth your time, even if there are some things that could be better about it?

Can you comfortably afford TIPE1?

Can you comfortably afford the cost of Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12?

This is an important question to answer, because even if you think TIPE1 sounds like the greatest online class in the world, it’s still not worth taking if you can’t comfortably afford it!

Before October 05, 2025, the price was $12.99 before any Udemy discount, and you were able to pay with a credit card.

Keep in mind that this is a Udemy online course, and there’s a great chance that you can get a solid discount on TIPE1 with Udemy coupons / promo codes, especially with the strategies we provide for helping you find the best, most popular coupons available.

We’ll cover that in greater detail in the next section, because at the end of the day, its important that you can learn whatever you want to learn without getting into a lot of credit card debt.

How can you maximize your discount on Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12?

By far, the easiest way to get the best and biggest discount on this course is to use the Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12 discount code link at the top of this page.

It will instantly give you the best coupon code we could find for Sly Hofman’s online training.

We don’t believe there’s a bigger discount than the one we provided, but if for some reason you’d like to try find one, you can use the methods below to hunt for the best TIPE1 course coupons and promo codes you can find.

FYI, the methods below will help you not just with getting TIPE1 for a better price, but also with any other Sly Hofman Udemy course that you’d like to get for cheaper.

How can Google help you get a TIPE1 discount?

To use this method, do a Google search for the TIPE1 training, but in your search query, be sure to add words like coupon code, promo code, deal, sale, discount, and Udemy.

Similarly, you can use the same combination of search terms with Sly Hofman’s name and see what happens.

For example, you might do a Google search for “Sly Hofman Udemy coupons” or “Sly Hofman course coupon codes” and see if that helps you.

However, in general, it’s far more powerful to do a search for deals and coupon codes with the actual training’s name, than with the instructor’s name.

So in this case, for example, prioritize searches for “Thinking in Photoshop Elements 12 coupons” rather than “Sly Hofman coupons”.

How can a Udemy sale get you TIPE1 for cheaper?

Every once in while, Udemy will do a sitewide sale where they offer all (or almost all) their courses at a discounted price. For example, one of the best sales is where every course is only $10 or $9.99.

Hello my name is Christopher Young. I have a YouTube channel with over 1,000 Subscribers and I make weekly videos. I also am a big fan of technology and enjoy making videos. I am a great fan of new opportunity and ways to grow my brand and make money in the process. Everything I teach is self taught meaning I didn’t have courses like any on Udemy when I wanted to learn. I make learning very simple and easy to understand. I have learned everything from Microsoft Word, a long time ago, to things like iMovie and I continue to learn new and useful tools that will improve workflow and productivity, And teach people in the process. I have taught lots of people how to use programs so they can be very successful. I have taught lots of people iMovie and they have now become very good with editing programs. I also have taught people programs and tutorials on my YouTube channel, these have been very successful. I also call my self a video editor because that is mainly my strong point.

Beginner Photography Composition Course review for 2025

In our review of this course, we try to help you answer all of your most important questions about Beginner Photography Composition Course as quickly and efficiently as possible, so that you can determine whether this online education training is worth your time and money.

Feel free to jump to whatever question you want answered the most.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

Why use BPCC as an abbreviation of the course name?

During our Beginner Photography Composition Course course review, you might sometimes see us refer to it as BPCC for the following 2 reasons:

  1. We created the acronym by taking the first letter of every word (which was very ingenious and innovative, we know)
  2. We’re lazy and BPCC is simpler and easier for reviewing purposes

The full course name is 39 characters long, including blanks, while BPCC is 4 characters long.

You do the math.

Okay, we’ll do the math. We’re saving 35 characters every time we use BPCC.

So, just a heads up that we’ll be using this abbreviation sometimes, so you’re not left scratching your head and wondering what the heck we’re talking about whenever we refer to BPCC throughout the remainder of this review.

Is the Beginner Photography Composition Course course for you?

To determine whether JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School’s Udemy course is a good fit for you or not, ask yourself the following questions down below.

The more you answer “yes” to each question, the more likely it is that you’ll like this course.

Can you understand what JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School’s course is about in 30 seconds or less?

Hopefully, you can easily grasp in 10 seconds or less what this online course is about simply by taking a look at the title that JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School chose for the course, “Beginner Photography Composition Course”, as well as its subtitle: “Improve your photography by practicing photo composition techniques. Capture photos that stand out from the crowd!”.

This combo of title and subtitle should be enough to communicate the purpose of the training if JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School is a good, clear communicator (which, of course, you want in a teacher).

In our opinion, if you still don’t know what BPCC is about after looking at these two things, then this is a red flag, and you might be better off not taking this class.

Among other things, it means JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School hasn’t clearly and accurately conveyed what the course is about and might not be the best teacher for you.

For similar reasons, it’s important that you’re able to clearly understand what Beginner Photography Composition Course is all about from the first few lines of the course description.

So take just a few seconds to read the opening lines down below and see what you think of them.

Opening lines of JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School’s official description of BPCC

Do you love photography but wish your pictures looked better, like the ones you see from other photographers on social media?

Are you looking for a fast and easy way to improve your photography skills?

Look no further. This photography composition class is a must for any beginner photographer, no matter what camera you use.

(Read more about this course on the official course page.)

Does BPCC pass the 30 Seconds Test?

You can read a lot more about Beginner Photography Composition Course on the official course page on Udemy, but the point is this: are the title, subtitle, and just the first few lines of the description enough to help you understand what the course is about?

If so, JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School has done a good job and can be considered more trustworthy and a good communicator, which are important qualities for any teacher.

And, if not, maybe you’re better off looking at other Photography classes that are more clearly defined and more tailored to your specific interests.

Did Beginner Photography Composition Course appeal to you in 30 seconds or less?

Now that you’ve done the 30 Second Test with BPCC above, what is your gut reaction to this Photography course with only the basic information of its title, subtitle, and the first few opening lines of its official course summary?

Did JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School do a good job conveying its subject matter, and did it immediately get your attention and appeal to you?

If so, JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School’s online course is certainly worth considering some more.

But if not, perhaps it’s in your best interest to consider some other Photography courses instead, because clear communication and being able to hook and maintain your interest are two very important qualities for your online learning success.

Does JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School sound like a course instructor you’d like to learn from?

You’ve already learned how to use The 30 Second Test to make a quick evaluation of whether the BPCC course is worth taking.

We have a similar 15 Second Bio Test where you read only the first few lines of an instructor’s background — in this case, JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School’s background — and then you make a quick, snap judgment as to whether you think the instructor would be ideal for you.

There is no right or wrong answer. It’s just about going with your gut instinct. What might appeal to one potential student might alienate another, and vice versa.

(FYI, all Udemy instructors, including JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School, have a Udemy profile on their course page, so you can easily check for a bio and background on the Udemy website that way. We’re only including the first few lines of the bio down below for The 15 Second Bio Test).

Opening lines from JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School’s Udemy bio

JP Teaches Photo, run by JP Pullos, Lydia Billings, and their team of teachers, has taught over 40,000 people how to use their cameras since 2009.

What did you think about JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School after reading just the first few lines of the bio above?

After reading just the first few lines about JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School, did it make you more or less interested in taking the BPCC course?

And did it make you feel like JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School was more or less credible and qualified to teach Beginner Photography Composition Course?

Finally, overall, did you feel like you’d receive the proper training from the instructor of this Photography course?

As always, we encourage you to listen to your gut instinct, which is different for every student.

Are the BPCC lessons clear, specific, and organized well?

Part of the (good) problem with Udemy’s online courses, such as the Beginner Photography Composition Course course, is that the instructors are constantly updating them, including adding and renaming lessons.

So it makes no sense whatsoever for us to list out all the modules and lessons in the BPCC course here, because you can just as easily go to the Udemy course page and get all the up to date course structure as of right now.

We do, however, have some tips about reviewing JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School’s course structure, so that you can get a better sense of whether this program is worth your time or not.

In a nutshell, you want to scan the the titles of the different sections and lessons of the course, and verify that they are clearly relevant to the course’s name, Beginner Photography Composition Course, as well as the course’s subtitle, Improve your photography by practicing photo composition techniques. Capture photos that stand out from the crowd!.

If the section names and lessons are clear, specific, and relevant, then it’s a good sign that BPCC is potentially a good, useful course for you, and you can have more confidence in JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School’s teaching abilities and lesson planning.

On the other hand, if the module names are confusing, vague, or irrelevant, then this is a red flag, which might indicate that the program is worth skipping.

Have you taken some free lessons from JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School that you enjoyed?

Have you already learned something from JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School that you valued or enjoyed?

For example, does the Beginner Photography Composition Course training have some free lessons that you can try? (Almost all Udemy instructors will give you at least one or two lessons for free to help you make a better, more informed decision before enrolling in their course.)

But if you weren’t able to get any BPCC lessons for free, have you perhaps watched a YouTube video by JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School, or perhaps come across this instructor’s thoughts on Quora, Facebook, LinkedIn, Github, Reddit, or some other platform?

Or have you perhaps even taken one of JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School’s free courses or free webinars? (Many online teachers offer these freebies, which is a great way to get to know them and evaluate their teaching methods before buying one of their courses.)

In any case, the more familiar you are with JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School’s teaching methods, and the more you enjoy them, the more likely it is that Beginner Photography Composition Course will be a good fit for you.

(P.S.: We strongly encourage you to seek out some free instruction from JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School before purchasing this course, since it’s one of the best ways to determine whether BPCC will be helpful for you.)

Are “Beginner Photography Composition Course” reviews generally positive?

On the bottom of the BPCC page, you can read student reviews of the class.

Prior to October 05, 2025, there were 17,004 students enrolled, 327 reviews / ratings, and it was overall rated 4.6 out of 5.

Obviously, the more highly other students rate BPCC the better, but no matter what, keep an open mind when reading the reviews, since you might still like a course a great deal that other students dislike.

After all, everyone’s got their own opinion.

We recommend that you spend only a couple minutes scanning the BPCC reviews to get an overall sense of them. You don’t have to read each one!

Is JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School responsive to student questions in the BPCC training?

You can see what other students have to say about this in their BPCC reviews.

But, our simple all time favorite way of gauging an instructor’s responsiveness is to simply email the instructor and see if or how they respond.

In this case, Udemy has a messaging system for students / anyone who has an account, and you can send JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School a message through this system quite easily, even if you haven’t bought BPCC yet.

For example, you could say, “Hi, and I came across BPCC while looking at Photography courses on Udemy. If I enroll in your training, would you mind if I asked you any questions along the way?”

If you use this approach, the response (or lack of response) from the professor will tell you everything.

Obviously, the quicker the response the better!

Are you comfortable going through the lessons in Beginner Photography Composition Course on your own, online?

This is a big one, because Beginner Photography Composition Course is an online course as opposed to a course that you physically take in a classroom.

Of course, you will need a good internet connection to have access to the course material and lessons, but beyond that, you also have to be comfortable being self motivated to some degree, being on your own, and not having any physical interaction with any of the other students taking Beginner Photography Composition Course.

Yes, you will be able to interact with the students and the teacher, JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School, online, but it’s a different kind of experience than what you’d get if you were interacting with them in person.

This is not a big deal to most people, but it might be something for you to consider if you feel like you do better taking classes in person rather than learning online.

Do the pros / benefits of BPCC make it worth your time?

Ideally, if you’ve gone through the evaluation steps above, you have a list of positive things about the Beginner Photography Composition Course training that looks something like this:

  • The purpose of BPCC can be clearly grasped and understood, and its lesson structure is clear, specific, and well organized
  • JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School is well qualified to teach this subject matter, has good teaching abilities, and is responsive to student questions
  • Other BPCC students have great things to say about the program

Other benefits include:

  • You get to go through BPCC at your own pace
  • You join a community of 17,004 other students taking the course
  • You get lifetime access to the training
  • All updates to the training are free
  • You have a 30 day money back guarantee

Even if there are some things that you don’t like about the program, so what?

The question is simply this: do you think that BPCC would be worth your time, even if there are some things that could be better about it?

Can you comfortably afford BPCC?

Can you comfortably afford the cost of Beginner Photography Composition Course?

This is an important question to answer, because even if you think BPCC sounds like the greatest online class in the world, it’s still not worth taking if you can’t comfortably afford it!

Before October 05, 2025, the price was $12.99 before any Udemy discount, and you were able to pay with a credit card.

Keep in mind that this is a Udemy online course, and there’s a great chance that you can get a solid discount on BPCC with Udemy coupons / promo codes, especially with the strategies we provide for helping you find the best, most popular coupons available.

We’ll cover that in greater detail in the next section, because at the end of the day, its important that you can learn whatever you want to learn without getting into a lot of credit card debt.

How can you maximize your discount on Beginner Photography Composition Course?

By far, the easiest way to get the best and biggest discount on this course is to use the Beginner Photography Composition Course discount code link at the top of this page.

It will instantly give you the best coupon code we could find for JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School’s online training.

We don’t believe there’s a bigger discount than the one we provided, but if for some reason you’d like to try find one, you can use the methods below to hunt for the best BPCC course coupons and promo codes you can find.

FYI, the methods below will help you not just with getting BPCC for a better price, but also with any other JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School Udemy course that you’d like to get for cheaper.

How can Google help you get a BPCC discount?

To use this method, do a Google search for the BPCC training, but in your search query, be sure to add words like coupon code, promo code, deal, sale, discount, and Udemy.

For example, you might do a search for “Udemy Beginner Photography Composition Course promo code” or “Beginner Photography Composition Course udemy coupon codes” and see what turns up.

Similarly, you can use the same combination of search terms with JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School’s name and see what happens.

For example, you might do a Google search for “JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School Udemy coupons” or “JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School course coupon codes” and see if that helps you.

However, in general, it’s far more powerful to do a search for deals and coupon codes with the actual training’s name, than with the instructor’s name.

So in this case, for example, prioritize searches for “Beginner Photography Composition Course coupons” rather than “JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School coupons”.

How can a Udemy sale get you BPCC for cheaper?

Every once in while, Udemy will do a sitewide sale where they offer all (or almost all) their courses at a discounted price. For example, one of the best sales is where every course is only $10 or $9.99.

So, if you’re interested in saving as much money as possible, you could wait and see if you can get BPCC for this cheaper Udemy sale price one day.

The problem is that these sales only occur sporadically, so you might be waiting for a while. Also, if JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School decides not to participate in the site wide sale, then you won’t get a discount on BPCC, even though you could get a great discount on almost any other class at Udemy!

To understand this, think of there as being two different coupon categories for the BPCC course.

How can you get a BPCC discount from JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School?

If you’re really serious about getting “Beginner Photography Composition Course” for the cheapest price possible, then perhaps one of the most powerful things you can do is get a coupon code straight from JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School, instead of waiting for a Udemy sale.

To do this, you can use either the direct approach or an indirect approach to try to get your discount.

With the direct approach, the big idea is to simply get JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School’s contact info in some way or another (whether it’s email, or Twitter, or whatever else).

Then you send a message saying something like “I’m interested in enrolling in Beginner Photography Composition Course. Do you happen to currently have an active coupon code for it that I could use?” (And then, hopefully, you’ll get a reply with your discount code.)

On the other hand, with the indirect approach, you join JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School’s mailing list, if you can find it, and then you hope that at some time BPCC will be promoted to you at a discount.

By far, the more powerful approach is the direct approach, because it tends to get results faster. But you can experiment with the indirect approach and see if it works for you.

Can you get BPCC for free?

Of course, the best possible price for the BPCC training is free! As in, you pay no money whatsoever.

And guess what? Sometimes Udemy instructors provide coupon codes that enable students to take their courses for free. So, perhaps it’s possible that JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School has done this.

Basically, if you’re trying to get this program for free, you will want to search for the course’s name along with other words like free coupon, or 100 off coupon.

For example, you might do a google search for “Beginner Photography Composition Course free coupon” or “Beginner Photography Composition Course 100 off coupon” and see what happens.

But keep this in mind: often, Udemy teachers will offer a free coupon for their course when it first opens to get some publicity and reviews. And then, after a few days, they’ll make the coupon expired.

So even JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School has offered free coupons for BPCC in the past, the odds are likely they will all be currently expired. This is a common pattern that we have found.

What about a BPCC free download?

It’s important to understand that there’s a difference between getting full access to the BPCC training for free legally with a free coupon code vs. finding a way to download BPCC illegally.

If you really want to go the download route, you can do a google search for something like “Beginner Photography Composition Course download”.

And if that doesn’t get you the results you want, you can add the word “free” to your search.

For example, perhaps you could do a google search for “Beginner Photography Composition Course free download”.

However, even if you get some results from these searches, we do not recommend that you take this course of action.

First of all, there are some shady sites out there that could be trying to infect your computer.

Second, JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School created this course and deserves monetary compensation for it.

And third, if you go the free download route, you’ll be missing out on a lot of value, because you won’t be able to ask the instructor questions or interact with the other 17,004 students enrolled in the program.

Can you get a refund on Beginner Photography Composition Course if you don’t like it?

Let’s say that you used our tips above, and you were able to buy the BPCC training at a fantastic discounted price. So at this point, you’re super excited.

Then, you actually dive into JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School’s course, and you discover that it just isn’t for you for whatever reason.

And now you’re super bummed, because you feel like it wasn’t money well spent.

Well, guess what?

Udemy offers a rock solid 30 day money back guarantee on all their courses, so you can get a refund on BPCC no matter what. And this means there is absolutely no risk.

Indeed, even if you left a super negative, critical review on the BPCC training, and then asked for your money back, you’d get a refund. For better or worse, there’s nothing JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School could do about it, since it is simply Udemy policy.

To sum it up: yes, you can get a full refund, so at the end of the day, don’t worry about the possibility of purchasing BPCC and not liking it, since you can always get your money back.

What is OCP’s overall rating of Beginner Photography Composition Course?

During this BPCC review, you’ve learned about some of the unusual ways we like to evaluate courses, such as with The 30 Second Test and The 15 Second Bio Test.

So our overall review process is perhaps a little unusual and different from other reviews out there. Keep this in mind when you consider the overall rating / score that we have given this course.

Anyway, after taking a look at the BPCC training, the instructor, JP Teaches Photo ., Phil Ebiner, Video School, and reading what other students have said about this program, we give it an overall rating of 4.7 out of 5.

Ultimately, though, what matters most is what you would rate it based on the same criteria.

Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition. review for 2025

In our review of this course, we try to help you answer all of your most important questions about Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition. as quickly and efficiently as possible, so that you can determine whether this online education training is worth your time and money.

Feel free to jump to whatever question you want answered the most.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

Why use EYP-MC as an abbreviation of the course name?

During our Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition. course review, you might sometimes see us refer to it as EYP-MC for the following 2 reasons:

  1. We created the acronym by taking the first letter of every word (which was very ingenious and innovative, we know)
  2. We’re lazy and EYP-MC is simpler and easier for reviewing purposes

The full course name is 46 characters long, including blanks, while EYP-MC is 6 characters long.

You do the math.

Okay, we’ll do the math. We’re saving 40 characters every time we use EYP-MC.

So, just a heads up that we’ll be using this abbreviation sometimes, so you’re not left scratching your head and wondering what the heck we’re talking about whenever we refer to EYP-MC throughout the remainder of this review.

Is the Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition. course for you?

To determine whether El Gale’s Udemy course is a good fit for you or not, ask yourself the following questions down below.

The more you answer “yes” to each question, the more likely it is that you’ll like this course.

Can you understand what El Gale’s course is about in 30 seconds or less?

Hopefully, you can easily grasp in 10 seconds or less what this online course is about simply by taking a look at the title that El Gale chose for the course, “Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition.”, as well as its subtitle: “Study 100 great photographs to learn their keys to success. An array of genres – landscape, travel, portrait, food..”.

This combo of title and subtitle should be enough to communicate the purpose of the training if El Gale is a good, clear communicator (which, of course, you want in a teacher).

In our opinion, if you still don’t know what EYP-MC is about after looking at these two things, then this is a red flag, and you might be better off not taking this class.

Among other things, it means El Gale hasn’t clearly and accurately conveyed what the course is about and might not be the best teacher for you.

For similar reasons, it’s important that you’re able to clearly understand what Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition. is all about from the first few lines of the course description.

So take just a few seconds to read the opening lines down below and see what you think of them.

Opening lines of El Gale’s official description of EYP-MC

Photography is a craft – anyone can learn to take great photographs but it requires practice and, importantly, understanding the components that make photographs great. (When you understand these underlying mechanisms you can carry them with you to elevate your photos in any circumstance – it makes practice more valuable because you have a foundation behind it).

I made this course because I think studying others photos is one of the most beneficial things you can do to learn photography. It offers a great deal of insight and inspiration – it’s the closest thing in my mind to replicating the value of a photography degree – the practice of learning through study. This process greatly helped me improve my photography over the years so I really believe it can help you in this condensed course.

This course is for anyone looking to gain a foundation of skills to elevate their photography. It is not about technical settings or equipment, it’s purely a study of the most valuable photographic conventions – which by the end will offer a tool box of skills to take aesthetically pleasing/ engaging / widely enjoyed images.

(Read more about this course on the official course page.)

Does EYP-MC pass the 30 Seconds Test?

You can read a lot more about Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition. on the official course page on Udemy, but the point is this: are the title, subtitle, and just the first few lines of the description enough to help you understand what the course is about?

If so, El Gale has done a good job and can be considered more trustworthy and a good communicator, which are important qualities for any teacher.

And, if not, maybe you’re better off looking at other Photography classes that are more clearly defined and more tailored to your specific interests.

Did Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition. appeal to you in 30 seconds or less?

Now that you’ve done the 30 Second Test with EYP-MC above, what is your gut reaction to this Photography course with only the basic information of its title, subtitle, and the first few opening lines of its official course summary?

Did El Gale do a good job conveying its subject matter, and did it immediately get your attention and appeal to you?

If so, El Gale’s online course is certainly worth considering some more.

But if not, perhaps it’s in your best interest to consider some other Photography courses instead, because clear communication and being able to hook and maintain your interest are two very important qualities for your online learning success.

Does El Gale sound like a course instructor you’d like to learn from?

You’ve already learned how to use The 30 Second Test to make a quick evaluation of whether the EYP-MC course is worth taking.

We have a similar 15 Second Bio Test where you read only the first few lines of an instructor’s background — in this case, El Gale’s background — and then you make a quick, snap judgment as to whether you think the instructor would be ideal for you.

There is no right or wrong answer. It’s just about going with your gut instinct. What might appeal to one potential student might alienate another, and vice versa.

(FYI, all Udemy instructors, including El Gale, have a Udemy profile on their course page, so you can easily check for a bio and background on the Udemy website that way. We’re only including the first few lines of the bio down below for The 15 Second Bio Test).

Opening lines from El Gale’s Udemy bio

El is an environmental photographer and graduate of a masters in documentary filmmaking. Her experience in photography spans across 10+ years and a wide array of photographic genres. Although her current professional focus is environmental photography, she has previously made an income through food, tourism, landscape and event photography.

(Learn more about this instructor on the official course page.)

What did you think about El Gale after reading just the first few lines of the bio above?

After reading just the first few lines about El Gale, did it make you more or less interested in taking the EYP-MC course?

And did it make you feel like El Gale was more or less credible and qualified to teach Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition.?

Finally, overall, did you feel like you’d receive the proper training from the instructor of this Photography course?

As always, we encourage you to listen to your gut instinct, which is different for every student.

Are the EYP-MC lessons clear, specific, and organized well?

Part of the (good) problem with Udemy’s online courses, such as the Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition. course, is that the instructors are constantly updating them, including adding and renaming lessons.

So it makes no sense whatsoever for us to list out all the modules and lessons in the EYP-MC course here, because you can just as easily go to the Udemy course page and get all the up to date course structure as of right now.

We do, however, have some tips about reviewing El Gale’s course structure, so that you can get a better sense of whether this program is worth your time or not.

In a nutshell, you want to scan the the titles of the different sections and lessons of the course, and verify that they are clearly relevant to the course’s name, Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition., as well as the course’s subtitle, Study 100 great photographs to learn their keys to success. An array of genres – landscape, travel, portrait, food…

If the section names and lessons are clear, specific, and relevant, then it’s a good sign that EYP-MC is potentially a good, useful course for you, and you can have more confidence in El Gale’s teaching abilities and lesson planning.

On the other hand, if the module names are confusing, vague, or irrelevant, then this is a red flag, which might indicate that the program is worth skipping.

Have you taken some free lessons from El Gale that you enjoyed?

Have you already learned something from El Gale that you valued or enjoyed?

For example, does the Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition. training have some free lessons that you can try? (Almost all Udemy instructors will give you at least one or two lessons for free to help you make a better, more informed decision before enrolling in their course.)

But if you weren’t able to get any EYP-MC lessons for free, have you perhaps watched a YouTube video by El Gale, or perhaps come across this instructor’s thoughts on Quora, Facebook, LinkedIn, Github, Reddit, or some other platform?

Or have you perhaps even taken one of El Gale’s free courses or free webinars? (Many online teachers offer these freebies, which is a great way to get to know them and evaluate their teaching methods before buying one of their courses.)

In any case, the more familiar you are with El Gale’s teaching methods, and the more you enjoy them, the more likely it is that Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition. will be a good fit for you.

(P.S.: We strongly encourage you to seek out some free instruction from El Gale before purchasing this course, since it’s one of the best ways to determine whether EYP-MC will be helpful for you.)

Are “Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition.” reviews generally positive?

On the bottom of the EYP-MC page, you can read student reviews of the class.

Prior to October 05, 2025, there were 1,844 students enrolled, 668 reviews / ratings, and it was overall rated 4.4 out of 5.

Obviously, the more highly other students rate EYP-MC the better, but no matter what, keep an open mind when reading the reviews, since you might still like a course a great deal that other students dislike.

After all, everyone’s got their own opinion.

We recommend that you spend only a couple minutes scanning the EYP-MC reviews to get an overall sense of them. You don’t have to read each one!

Is El Gale responsive to student questions in the EYP-MC training?

You can see what other students have to say about this in their EYP-MC reviews.

But, our simple all time favorite way of gauging an instructor’s responsiveness is to simply email the instructor and see if or how they respond.

In this case, Udemy has a messaging system for students / anyone who has an account, and you can send El Gale a message through this system quite easily, even if you haven’t bought EYP-MC yet.

For example, you could say, “Hi, and I came across EYP-MC while looking at Photography courses on Udemy. If I enroll in your training, would you mind if I asked you any questions along the way?”

If you use this approach, the response (or lack of response) from the professor will tell you everything.

Obviously, the quicker the response the better!

Are you comfortable going through the lessons in Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition. on your own, online?

This is a big one, because Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition. is an online course as opposed to a course that you physically take in a classroom.

Of course, you will need a good internet connection to have access to the course material and lessons, but beyond that, you also have to be comfortable being self motivated to some degree, being on your own, and not having any physical interaction with any of the other students taking Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition..

Yes, you will be able to interact with the students and the teacher, El Gale, online, but it’s a different kind of experience than what you’d get if you were interacting with them in person.

This is not a big deal to most people, but it might be something for you to consider if you feel like you do better taking classes in person rather than learning online.

Do the pros / benefits of EYP-MC make it worth your time?

Ideally, if you’ve gone through the evaluation steps above, you have a list of positive things about the Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition. training that looks something like this:

  • The purpose of EYP-MC can be clearly grasped and understood, and its lesson structure is clear, specific, and well organized
  • El Gale is well qualified to teach this subject matter, has good teaching abilities, and is responsive to student questions
  • Other EYP-MC students have great things to say about the program

Other benefits include:

  • You get to go through EYP-MC at your own pace
  • You join a community of 1,844 other students taking the course
  • You get lifetime access to the training
  • All updates to the training are free
  • You have a 30 day money back guarantee

Even if there are some things that you don’t like about the program, so what?

The question is simply this: do you think that EYP-MC would be worth your time, even if there are some things that could be better about it?

Can you comfortably afford EYP-MC?

Can you comfortably afford the cost of Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition.?

This is an important question to answer, because even if you think EYP-MC sounds like the greatest online class in the world, it’s still not worth taking if you can’t comfortably afford it!

Before October 05, 2025, the price was $15.99 before any Udemy discount, and you were able to pay with a credit card.

Keep in mind that this is a Udemy online course, and there’s a great chance that you can get a solid discount on EYP-MC with Udemy coupons / promo codes, especially with the strategies we provide for helping you find the best, most popular coupons available.

We’ll cover that in greater detail in the next section, because at the end of the day, its important that you can learn whatever you want to learn without getting into a lot of credit card debt.

How can you maximize your discount on Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition.?

By far, the easiest way to get the best and biggest discount on this course is to use the Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition. discount code link at the top of this page.

It will instantly give you the best coupon code we could find for El Gale’s online training.

We don’t believe there’s a bigger discount than the one we provided, but if for some reason you’d like to try find one, you can use the methods below to hunt for the best EYP-MC course coupons and promo codes you can find.

FYI, the methods below will help you not just with getting EYP-MC for a better price, but also with any other El Gale Udemy course that you’d like to get for cheaper.

How can Google help you get a EYP-MC discount?

To use this method, do a Google search for the EYP-MC training, but in your search query, be sure to add words like coupon code, promo code, deal, sale, discount, and Udemy.

For example, you might do a search for “Udemy Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition. promo code” or “Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition. udemy coupon codes” and see what turns up.

Similarly, you can use the same combination of search terms with El Gale’s name and see what happens.

For example, you might do a Google search for “El Gale Udemy coupons” or “El Gale course coupon codes” and see if that helps you.

However, in general, it’s far more powerful to do a search for deals and coupon codes with the actual training’s name, than with the instructor’s name.

So in this case, for example, prioritize searches for “Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition. coupons” rather than “El Gale coupons”.

How can a Udemy sale get you EYP-MC for cheaper?

Every once in while, Udemy will do a sitewide sale where they offer all (or almost all) their courses at a discounted price. For example, one of the best sales is where every course is only $10 or $9.99.

So, if you’re interested in saving as much money as possible, you could wait and see if you can get EYP-MC for this cheaper Udemy sale price one day.

The problem is that these sales only occur sporadically, so you might be waiting for a while. Also, if El Gale decides not to participate in the site wide sale, then you won’t get a discount on EYP-MC, even though you could get a great discount on almost any other class at Udemy!

To understand this, think of there as being two different coupon categories for the EYP-MC course.

How can you get a EYP-MC discount from El Gale?

If you’re really serious about getting “Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition.” for the cheapest price possible, then perhaps one of the most powerful things you can do is get a coupon code straight from El Gale, instead of waiting for a Udemy sale.

To do this, you can use either the direct approach or an indirect approach to try to get your discount.

With the direct approach, the big idea is to simply get El Gale’s contact info in some way or another (whether it’s email, or Twitter, or whatever else).

Then you send a message saying something like “I’m interested in enrolling in Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition.. Do you happen to currently have an active coupon code for it that I could use?” (And then, hopefully, you’ll get a reply with your discount code.)

On the other hand, with the indirect approach, you join El Gale’s mailing list, if you can find it, and then you hope that at some time EYP-MC will be promoted to you at a discount.

By far, the more powerful approach is the direct approach, because it tends to get results faster. But you can experiment with the indirect approach and see if it works for you.

Can you get EYP-MC for free?

Of course, the best possible price for the EYP-MC training is free! As in, you pay no money whatsoever.

And guess what? Sometimes Udemy instructors provide coupon codes that enable students to take their courses for free. So, perhaps it’s possible that El Gale has done this.

Basically, if you’re trying to get this program for free, you will want to search for the course’s name along with other words like free coupon, or 100 off coupon.

For example, you might do a google search for “Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition. free coupon” or “Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition. 100 off coupon” and see what happens.

But keep this in mind: often, Udemy teachers will offer a free coupon for their course when it first opens to get some publicity and reviews. And then, after a few days, they’ll make the coupon expired.

So even El Gale has offered free coupons for EYP-MC in the past, the odds are likely they will all be currently expired. This is a common pattern that we have found.

What about a EYP-MC free download?

It’s important to understand that there’s a difference between getting full access to the EYP-MC training for free legally with a free coupon code vs. finding a way to download EYP-MC illegally.

If you really want to go the download route, you can do a google search for something like “Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition. download”.

And if that doesn’t get you the results you want, you can add the word “free” to your search.

For example, perhaps you could do a google search for “Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition. free download”.

However, even if you get some results from these searches, we do not recommend that you take this course of action.

First of all, there are some shady sites out there that could be trying to infect your computer.

Second, El Gale created this course and deserves monetary compensation for it.

And third, if you go the free download route, you’ll be missing out on a lot of value, because you won’t be able to ask the instructor questions or interact with the other 1,844 students enrolled in the program.

Can you get a refund on Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition. if you don’t like it?

Let’s say that you used our tips above, and you were able to buy the EYP-MC training at a fantastic discounted price. So at this point, you’re super excited.

Then, you actually dive into El Gale’s course, and you discover that it just isn’t for you for whatever reason.

And now you’re super bummed, because you feel like it wasn’t money well spent.

Well, guess what?

Udemy offers a rock solid 30 day money back guarantee on all their courses, so you can get a refund on EYP-MC no matter what. And this means there is absolutely no risk.

Indeed, even if you left a super negative, critical review on the EYP-MC training, and then asked for your money back, you’d get a refund. For better or worse, there’s nothing El Gale could do about it, since it is simply Udemy policy.

To sum it up: yes, you can get a full refund, so at the end of the day, don’t worry about the possibility of purchasing EYP-MC and not liking it, since you can always get your money back.

What is OCP’s overall rating of Elevate Your Photography – Master Composition.?

During this EYP-MC review, you’ve learned about some of the unusual ways we like to evaluate courses, such as with The 30 Second Test and The 15 Second Bio Test.

So our overall review process is perhaps a little unusual and different from other reviews out there. Keep this in mind when you consider the overall rating / score that we have given this course.

Anyway, after taking a look at the EYP-MC training, the instructor, El Gale, and reading what other students have said about this program, we give it an overall rating of 4.7 out of 5.

Ultimately, though, what matters most is what you would rate it based on the same criteria.

In our review of this course, we try to help you answer all of your most important questions about What The Flash | The Evolution of Light as quickly and efficiently as possible, so that you can determine whether this online education training is worth your time and money.

Feel free to jump to whatever question you want answered the most.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

Why use WTF|TEOL as an abbreviation of the course name?

During our What The Flash | The Evolution of Light course review, you might sometimes see us refer to it as WTF|TEOL for the following 2 reasons:

  1. We created the acronym by taking the first letter of every word (which was very ingenious and innovative, we know)

There is no right or wrong answer. It’s just about going with your gut instinct. What might appeal to one potential student might alienate another, and vice versa.

(FYI, all Udemy instructors, including Bob Davis, have a Udemy profile on their course page, so you can easily check for a bio and background on the Udemy website that way. We’re only including the first few lines of the bio down below for The 15 Second Bio Test).

What did you think about Bob Davis after reading just the first few lines of the bio above?

After reading just the first few lines about Bob Davis, did it make you more or less interested in taking the WTF|TEOL course?

And did it make you feel like Bob Davis was more or less credible and qualified to teach What The Flash | The Evolution of Light?

Finally, overall, did you feel like you’d receive the proper training from the instructor of this Photography course?

As always, we encourage you to listen to your gut instinct, which is different for every student.

Are the WTF|TEOL lessons clear, specific, and organized well?

Part of the (good) problem with Udemy’s online courses, such as the What The Flash | The Evolution of Light course, is that the instructors are constantly updating them, including adding and renaming lessons.

So it makes no sense whatsoever for us to list out all the modules and lessons in the WTF|TEOL course here, because you can just as easily go to the Udemy course page and get all the up to date course structure as of right now.

We do, however, have some tips about reviewing Bob Davis’s course structure, so that you can get a better sense of whether this program is worth your time or not.

In a nutshell, you want to scan the the titles of the different sections and lessons of the course, and verify that they are clearly relevant to the course’s name, What The Flash | The Evolution of Light, as well as the course’s subtitle, Creating the light you want with off-camera flash photography. Learn the art of using off camera flash..

If the section names and lessons are clear, specific, and relevant, then it’s a good sign that WTF|TEOL is potentially a good, useful course for you, and you can have more confidence in Bob Davis’s teaching abilities and lesson planning.

On the other hand, if the module names are confusing, vague, or irrelevant, then this is a red flag, which might indicate that the program is worth skipping.

Have you taken some free lessons from Bob Davis that you enjoyed?

Have you already learned something from Bob Davis that you valued or enjoyed?

For example, does the What The Flash | The Evolution of Light training have some free lessons that you can try? (Almost all Udemy instructors will give you at least one or two lessons for free to help you make a better, more informed decision before enrolling in their course.)

But if you weren’t able to get any WTF|TEOL lessons for free, have you perhaps watched a YouTube video by Bob Davis, or perhaps come across this instructor’s thoughts on Quora, Facebook, LinkedIn, Github, Reddit, or some other platform?

Or have you perhaps even taken one of Bob Davis’s free courses or free webinars? (Many online teachers offer these freebies, which is a great way to get to know them and evaluate their teaching methods before buying one of their courses.)

In any case, the more familiar you are with Bob Davis’s teaching methods, and the more you enjoy them, the more likely it is that What The Flash | The Evolution of Light will be a good fit for you.

(P.S.: We strongly encourage you to seek out some free instruction from Bob Davis before purchasing this course, since it’s one of the best ways to determine whether WTF|TEOL will be helpful for you.)

Are “What The Flash | The Evolution of Light” reviews generally positive?

On the bottom of the WTF|TEOL page, you can read student reviews of the class.

Prior to October 05, 2025, there were 147 students enrolled, 50 reviews / ratings, and it was overall rated 4.4 out of 5.

Obviously, the more highly other students rate WTF|TEOL the better, but no matter what, keep an open mind when reading the reviews, since you might still like a course a great deal that other students dislike.

After all, everyone’s got their own opinion.

We recommend that you spend only a couple minutes scanning the WTF|TEOL reviews to get an overall sense of them. You don’t have to read each one!

Is Bob Davis responsive to student questions in the WTF|TEOL training?

You can see what other students have to say about this in their WTF|TEOL reviews.

But, our simple all time favorite way of gauging an instructor’s responsiveness is to simply email the instructor and see if or how they respond.

In this case, Udemy has a messaging system for students / anyone who has an account, and you can send Bob Davis a message through this system quite easily, even if you haven’t bought WTF|TEOL yet.

For example, you could say, “Hi, and I came across WTF|TEOL while looking at Photography courses on Udemy. If I enroll in your training, would you mind if I asked you any questions along the way?”

If you use this approach, the response (or lack of response) from the professor will tell you everything.

Obviously, the quicker the response the better!

Are you comfortable going through the lessons in What The Flash | The Evolution of Light on your own, online?

This is a big one, because What The Flash | The Evolution of Light is an online course as opposed to a course that you physically take in a classroom.

Of course, you will need a good internet connection to have access to the course material and lessons, but beyond that, you also have to be comfortable being self motivated to some degree, being on your own, and not having any physical interaction with any of the other students taking What The Flash | The Evolution of Light.

Yes, you will be able to interact with the students and the teacher, Bob Davis, online, but it’s a different kind of experience than what you’d get if you were interacting with them in person.

This is not a big deal to most people, but it might be something for you to consider if you feel like you do better taking classes in person rather than learning online.

Do the pros / benefits of WTF|TEOL make it worth your time?

Ideally, if you’ve gone through the evaluation steps above, you have a list of positive things about the What The Flash | The Evolution of Light training that looks something like this:

  • The purpose of WTF|TEOL can be clearly grasped and understood, and its lesson structure is clear, specific, and well organized
  • Bob Davis is well qualified to teach this subject matter, has good teaching abilities, and is responsive to student questions
  • Other WTF|TEOL students have great things to say about the program

Other benefits include:

  • You get to go through WTF|TEOL at your own pace
  • You join a community of 147 other students taking the course
  • You get lifetime access to the training
  • All updates to the training are free
  • You have a 30 day money back guarantee

Even if there are some things that you don’t like about the program, so what?

The question is simply this: do you think that WTF|TEOL would be worth your time, even if there are some things that could be better about it?

Can you comfortably afford WTF|TEOL?

Can you comfortably afford the cost of What The Flash | The Evolution of Light?

This is an important question to answer, because even if you think WTF|TEOL sounds like the greatest online class in the world, it’s still not worth taking if you can’t comfortably afford it!

Before October 05, 2025, the price was $34.99 before any Udemy discount, and you were able to pay with a credit card.

Keep in mind that this is a Udemy online course, and there’s a great chance that you can get a solid discount on WTF|TEOL with Udemy coupons / promo codes, especially with the strategies we provide for helping you find the best, most popular coupons available.

We’ll cover that in greater detail in the next section, because at the end of the day, its important that you can learn whatever you want to learn without getting into a lot of credit card debt.

How can you maximize your discount on What The Flash | The Evolution of Light?

By far, the easiest way to get the best and biggest discount on this course is to use the What The Flash | The Evolution of Light discount code link at the top of this page.

It will instantly give you the best coupon code we could find for Bob Davis’s online training.

We don’t believe there’s a bigger discount than the one we provided, but if for some reason you’d like to try find one, you can use the methods below to hunt for the best WTF|TEOL course coupons and promo codes you can find.

FYI, the methods below will help you not just with getting WTF|TEOL for a better price, but also with any other Bob Davis Udemy course that you’d like to get for cheaper.

How can Google help you get a WTF|TEOL discount?

To use this method, do a Google search for the WTF|TEOL training, but in your search query, be sure to add words like coupon code, promo code, deal, sale, discount, and Udemy.

For example, you might do a search for “Udemy What The Flash | The Evolution of Light promo code” or “What The Flash | The Evolution of Light udemy coupon codes” and see what turns up.

Similarly, you can use the same combination of search terms with Bob Davis’s name and see what happens.

For example, you might do a Google search for “Bob Davis Udemy coupons” or “Bob Davis course coupon codes” and see if that helps you.

However, in general, it’s far more powerful to do a search for deals and coupon codes with the actual training’s name, than with the instructor’s name.

So in this case, for example, prioritize searches for “What The Flash | The Evolution of Light coupons” rather than “Bob Davis coupons”.

How can a Udemy sale get you WTF|TEOL for cheaper?

Every once in while, Udemy will do a sitewide sale where they offer all (or almost all) their courses at a discounted price. For example, one of the best sales is where every course is only $10 or $9.99.

So, if you’re interested in saving as much money as possible, you could wait and see if you can get WTF|TEOL for this cheaper Udemy sale price one day.

The problem is that these sales only occur sporadically, so you might be waiting for a while. Also, if Bob Davis decides not to participate in the site wide sale, then you won’t get a discount on WTF|TEOL, even though you could get a great discount on almost any other class at Udemy!

To understand this, think of there as being two different coupon categories for the WTF|TEOL course.

How can you get a WTF|TEOL discount from Bob Davis?

If you’re really serious about getting “What The Flash | The Evolution of Light” for the cheapest price possible, then perhaps one of the most powerful things you can do is get a coupon code straight from Bob Davis, instead of waiting for a Udemy sale.

To do this, you can use either the direct approach or an indirect approach to try to get your discount.

With the direct approach, the big idea is to simply get Bob Davis’s contact info in some way or another (whether it’s email, or Twitter, or whatever else).

Then you send a message saying something like “I’m interested in enrolling in What The Flash | The Evolution of Light. Do you happen to currently have an active coupon code for it that I could use?” (And then, hopefully, you’ll get a reply with your discount code.)

On the other hand, with the indirect approach, you join Bob Davis’s mailing list, if you can find it, and then you hope that at some time WTF|TEOL will be promoted to you at a discount.

By far, the more powerful approach is the direct approach, because it tends to get results faster. But you can experiment with the indirect approach and see if it works for you.

Can you get WTF|TEOL for free?

Of course, the best possible price for the WTF|TEOL training is free! As in, you pay no money whatsoever.

And guess what? Sometimes Udemy instructors provide coupon codes that enable students to take their courses for free. So, perhaps it’s possible that Bob Davis has done this.

Basically, if you’re trying to get this program for free, you will want to search for the course’s name along with other words like free coupon, or 100 off coupon.

For example, you might do a google search for “What The Flash | The Evolution of Light free coupon” or “What The Flash | The Evolution of Light 100 off coupon” and see what happens.

But keep this in mind: often, Udemy teachers will offer a free coupon for their course when it first opens to get some publicity and reviews. And then, after a few days, they’ll make the coupon expired.

So even Bob Davis has offered free coupons for WTF|TEOL in the past, the odds are likely they will all be currently expired. This is a common pattern that we have found.

What about a WTF|TEOL free download?

It’s important to understand that there’s a difference between getting full access to the WTF|TEOL training for free legally with a free coupon code vs. finding a way to download WTF|TEOL illegally.

If you really want to go the download route, you can do a google search for something like “What The Flash | The Evolution of Light download”.

And if that doesn’t get you the results you want, you can add the word “free” to your search.

For example, perhaps you could do a google search for “What The Flash | The Evolution of Light free download”.

However, even if you get some results from these searches, we do not recommend that you take this course of action.

First of all, there are some shady sites out there that could be trying to infect your computer.

Second, Bob Davis created this course and deserves monetary compensation for it.

And third, if you go the free download route, you’ll be missing out on a lot of value, because you won’t be able to ask the instructor questions or interact with the other 147 students enrolled in the program.

Can you get a refund on What The Flash | The Evolution of Light if you don’t like it?

Let’s say that you used our tips above, and you were able to buy the WTF|TEOL training at a fantastic discounted price. So at this point, you’re super excited.

Then, you actually dive into Bob Davis’s course, and you discover that it just isn’t for you for whatever reason.

And now you’re super bummed, because you feel like it wasn’t money well spent.

Well, guess what?

Udemy offers a rock solid 30 day money back guarantee on all their courses, so you can get a refund on WTF|TEOL no matter what. And this means there is absolutely no risk.

Indeed, even if you left a super negative, critical review on the WTF|TEOL training, and then asked for your money back, you’d get a refund. For better or worse, there’s nothing Bob Davis could do about it, since it is simply Udemy policy.

To sum it up: yes, you can get a full refund, so at the end of the day, don’t worry about the possibility of purchasing WTF|TEOL and not liking it, since you can always get your money back.

What is OCP’s overall rating of What The Flash | The Evolution of Light?

During this WTF|TEOL review, you’ve learned about some of the unusual ways we like to evaluate courses, such as with The 30 Second Test and The 15 Second Bio Test.

So our overall review process is perhaps a little unusual and different from other reviews out there. Keep this in mind when you consider the overall rating / score that we have given this course.

Anyway, after taking a look at the WTF|TEOL training, the instructor, Bob Davis, and reading what other students have said about this program, we give it an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5.

Ultimately, though, what matters most is what you would rate it based on the same criteria.

What you get: Lighting is easily the most important aspect of photography. I would even go as far as saying that lighting is photography: It is even in the word itself; “Photography” is greek for “Light Drawing”, or “drawing with light”. Without light, you cannot take photos. It is perfectly possible to take amazing photographs with a very simple camera – as long as the lighting is good. The opposite is true as well: If you are taking photos in a situation where the lighting is truly appalling, having the fanciest, most expensive camera in the world isn’t going to help you capture the photographs you want. Become a seeker of light! The most important thing we have to do is to learn how to “see the light”. A lot of things will affect what the effects of a light source are, and how your photos are affected by said source. The brightness (or ‘intensity’) of the light source plays an important role, but, as we will explore in depth in the next chapter, is a lot less important than you might think. The color of light is essential – and some of the biggest challenges you’ll meet in photography are the issues that arise when you start mixing different light sources. Sunlight, for example, has a drastically different color from the light that comes from your flash, the light that comes from car headlights, or the light in your house. While it can be incredibly difficult to get your photos to look “right”, light sources of different colors offer an opportunity too. With the right mixture of types and colors of light, you can achieve some beautiful creative effects that will make your photos really ‘pop’. During the class we are going to through the evolution of light using small Speedlites, direct flash, bounce flash, multiple wireless remote flash, and creating studio quality light anywhere, anytime.
