Michael MacDonald bio
I am a practising Cardiologist, originally from the UK but now working in Singapore. I have a busy clinical practice, and see patients with hypertension every day. I am very aware that doctors don’t have the time to fully educate their patients about blood pressure. Most people don’t even realise all the things that they can do to improve their blood pressure themselves.; I am a consultant Physician and Cardiologist working in Glasgow, Scotland, UK. I look after patients with hypertension and cardiovascular disease on a daily basis. I feel strongly that cardiovascular disease prevention should be a lifelong process. In 1997 obtained my medical degree from the University of Aberdeen, the oldest established medical school in the world. I also have a 1st class honours degree in medical science, post graduate diplomas in general internal medicine and am now a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. I obtained my Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training, in both cardiology and medicine in 2010. I have published original research in the field of cardiovascular medicine and continue to be involved in clinical research studies.
