Brief course description
Hygge is a Danish word.
Although it has no direct English translation, hygge has been described as the art of creating comfort & happiness. Hygge is intimate & cozy. It is the presence of soothing happy things.
You know hygge when you feel it. It is when you are cuddled up on a sofa with a loved one, or in a cozy cafe with a friend, or sharing comfort food & conversation with family.

Aerie North bio
Aerie North took her fibre arts, illustration, and art teaching career from the studio to online as a result of wanting to be home with her children. Both of Aerie’s children have special needs. Her daughter was born with complex heart defects and on track for a transplant in the near future, and her son has high-functioning autism. Moving a studio presence online allowed Aerie to explore new creative modalities beneficial to online education platforms. nAerie divides her time between creating in Toronto and being inspired at her off-the-grid cottage in Algonquin Park, Ontario, Canada.
